Friday Five Quick Picks

At the RevGalBlogPals site, Kathryn writes:
"We're in the midst of 'it' and I'm hoping that it is not just me who is starting to get a bit overwhelmed. So for today I am asking for five quick picks of things that are good in your life. And as a bonus, 1 pick for a thing you could do without.
If you want to describe them? Great.
If not? That's fine too."

It's not just you, Kathryn. It's the ironic Lenten dash.

Five things that are good in my life include: my sweet puppy, Lucy; signs of spring in the yard (daffodils, crocuses);a good hair cut; great books I'm reading (see yesterday's post; a fairly short to-do list for today.
One thing I could do without? Insomnia.

Great list. Puppies Rock! So do spring blooms. And the book sounds really interesting. I could use an infusion of looking more brightly at things, so I may just put this on my list!

daffodils and crocuses, yay! "new haircut" (and highlights) sounds excellent at this time, too, though I may wait until Holy Week. And thanks for visiting my blog!

Yes, the musical Wicked is sooooo good. In the not to distant future I'll get to see it for the
**cough, cough* third time.

I'm glad you're back to blogging. I would love to see some daffodils or crocus, but that snow storm Friday covered up all the tips that were just beginning to break ground!

I meant to add to my comment that in addition to posting book reviews on my blog, I do post at goodreads.com under dswgr6.
